In your home or at an outdoor spot of your choosing — your yard, a park, the beach or under the oaks. If you are unsure, I will happily suggest two or three places near you and tell you when the light there is loveliest.

Between days 5 and 14 babies sleep deeply and settle easily. It helps to get in touch during pregnancy so I can hold a window around your due date. Later sessions are just as lovely — the babies are simply more awake and curious.

Calm, coordinated colours rather than bold patterns or big lettering. Two or three tones across the whole family is plenty. Above all: something everyone feels comfortable in and that children are allowed to sit down in. You will get a short list from me before the session.

Rain, thunderstorms or high wind are no problem: we move the session to the next date that suits us both, at no cost. Light cloud, on the other hand, is often a gift for portraits — we decide together on the day.

Five images with the 30-minute package, twelve with the one-hour package and twenty-five with the two-hour package. You choose them yourself and I edit them fully. They are yours in full resolution, ready to print, and that is the whole package — nothing further is ever required.

Yes, and only if you want to. After the session you see a private preview of everything, and if you fall in love with more than your package includes, any further image can be edited to the same standard.

What a further image costs depends on the package you booked: $30 each with the 30-minute package, $25 each with the one-hour package and $20 each with the two-hour package. If you take five further images together, they cost 20 % less — so $120, $100 or $80 respectively.

This is never a condition of anything. Most families are happy with what their package includes, and the images you booked are delivered in full either way.

A $100 retainer secures your date and is credited against the total. The balance is due on the day of the session. Zelle, Venmo and PayPal all work. The prices shown are the full amount — because your images are delivered digitally, no South Carolina sales tax applies and nothing is added on top.

Yes — I am German. The session, all arrangements and your image selection can be handled entirely in German, or in English, whichever you prefer.

Only if you want that. Nothing appears on this website at all. For Instagram and Facebook I come back to you after the session with the specific images I would like to show, and you say yes or no to each one. Many families say no to everything, and that is completely normal — it changes nothing about how your session is photographed or what it costs.

These terms apply to all photography bookings between SK Golden Moments Photography LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of South Carolina (the "Photographer"), and the person booking the session (the "Client"). They are accepted when a session is booked. Any deviation must be agreed in writing; email is sufficient.

Your agreement is with the company, not with any individual. Sessions are photographed by Stefanie Kureck on behalf of the company.

The Client must be at least 18 years old and must have the authority to make the booking on behalf of everyone attending the session.

An enquiry through the form is non-binding. The contract is formed once the Photographer confirms the date in writing and the retainer has been received.

• The retainer is $100 and is credited against the total price.
• It secures the date and is non-refundable if the Client cancels. It is not a penalty: it compensates the Photographer for holding the date, declining other enquiries for that slot, and the planning work already done.
• Without the retainer, the date is not held.

• 30 minutes: $199, including 5 edited images.
• 1 hour: $349, including 12 edited images.
• 2 hours: $599, including 25 edited images.
• Further images from the same session, edited to the same standard: $30 each with the 30-minute package, $25 each with the 1-hour package and $20 each with the 2-hour package. Five further images ordered together are charged at 20 % less than the applicable single-image rate.
• The prices shown are the total the Client pays. Images are delivered in electronic form only. Photographs delivered electronically are not tangible personal property under S.C. Code § 12-36-60, so no South Carolina sales or use tax applies to them and none is added to the price (see SC Revenue Ruling #15-10). Should the Client ever order a print, album, USB drive or other physical item, sales tax may become due on that order and would be shown separately.
• Sessions within 15 miles of Summerville, SC carry no travel fee. From 15 to 30 miles a flat fee of $49 applies. Greater distances by prior arrangement.
• Entrance, parking or photography permit fees at the chosen location are borne by the Client. Some parks, beaches and private venues in South Carolina require a paid permit for photography sessions; the Photographer will say so as soon as a location is discussed, but obtaining and paying for the permit is the Client's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• If the Client permits the use of selected images in the Photographer's printed catalogue, the Photographer grants 10 % off the package price. Permission for Instagram or Facebook is separate from this and carries no discount and no obligation (clause 13).

The balance is due no later than the day of the session. Zelle, Venmo and PayPal are accepted; cash is not taken. Images are delivered once payment has been received in full.

Payments are made directly to the Photographer. This website does not process payments and never asks for card or bank details.

Under South Carolina law (the Home Solicitation Sales Act, S.C. Code Ann. § 37-2-501 and following), a consumer who agrees to buy goods or services at their own home, rather than at the seller's place of business, generally has the right to cancel that agreement until midnight of the third business day afterwards.

Where that law applies to a booking — for example, if the session is agreed and signed for during a visit to the Client's home rather than by email or through this website — the Client may cancel within that period by giving written notice to sk.goldenmoments@gmail.com. In that case any money paid, including the retainer, is refunded in full within ten days.

Bookings made online, by email, by telephone or by message are ordinarily not home solicitation sales, and clause 6 applies to them instead. The Photographer will always tell the Client, in writing, which applies to their booking.

• Rescheduling is free up to 48 hours before the session; the retainer transfers once to a replacement date within six months.
• Cancellation later than 48 hours before the session, or failure to attend, forfeits the retainer.
• In case of illness, particularly a sick child, we of course move the session at no cost. Please let me know as early as you can.
• If the Client arrives late, the session time is shortened accordingly and the price remains unchanged.
• If the Photographer must cancel, a replacement date is offered. If no replacement date can be agreed, everything paid is refunded in full.

In case of rain, thunderstorms, high wind or other conditions that make an outdoor session unreasonable or unsafe, the session is rescheduled at no cost. The Photographer decides in consultation with the Client, usually on the day. Light cloud does not count as bad weather.

Neither party is in breach for a delay or failure caused by something genuinely outside their control — severe weather, hurricane or flood evacuation, illness, accident, power or network failure, or an act of a public authority. In such a case the session is moved; if no replacement date can be agreed, sums paid are refunded.

• The booked time starts at the agreed hour and includes breaks, changes of clothing and moves between locations.
• Supervision of children and pets remains with the Client at all times.
• For in-home sessions the Client provides safely accessible space. The Photographer is not liable for damage arising from hidden hazards.
• The Photographer retains artistic control over composition, perspective and editing style. Client wishes are accommodated wherever possible.
• In case of disrespectful, threatening or intoxicated behaviour the Photographer may end the session; the fee remains payable.
• The Photographer carries her own equipment and is responsible for it. The Client is responsible for any damage caused deliberately or through clear carelessness by the Client or their guests.

• The baby's wellbeing outranks any desired image. Poses that could strain the baby are not attempted.
• A parent or adult caregiver is present throughout the session and within reach of the child.
• The Client informs the Photographer in advance of any health considerations.
• At any sign of illness — in the baby, siblings or adults — the session is rescheduled at no cost.
• Newborns set the pace. A session may need to pause or continue later; the Photographer plans for this.
• The Photographer is a photographer, not a medical professional, and gives no medical or childcare advice.

The Client confirms that they are a parent or legal guardian of every child photographed, or that they have the permission of each child's parent or legal guardian, and that every adult in the photographs has agreed to take part.

Where a child has more than one legal guardian, the Client confirms that all of them agree — both to the session itself and to any catalogue permission given under clause 13. If guardianship or custody is shared or disputed, please tell the Photographer before booking.

If anyone photographed later objects, the Photographer will stop using that image for any purpose of her own on being told, in writing, at the address in clause 20.

• After the session the Client receives a private preview from which to choose the images included in the package (10 or 20).
• These images are fully edited: crop, light, colour and gentle retouching. Extensive alterations (removing or adding people, swapping faces, composites) are not included.
• Further images from the same session can be edited and delivered at the rate set out in clause 3, with 20 % off when five are ordered together.
• Technically failed frames (out of focus, eyes closed, misexposed, duplicates) are removed and not delivered.
• Delivery follows within 14 days of the selection, via a private download link valid for 30 days. The Client is responsible for backing up the files.
• The Photographer keeps the images for six months. Within that period the link can be reissued for a fee of $25.
• No artificial intelligence is used to generate or replace faces, bodies or scenes in the delivered images.

The Client receives an unlimited, non-exclusive, perpetual right to use the delivered images privately: prints in any quantity, photo books, gifts, and sharing with family and friends. The images may also be shared on private social media accounts.

Not permitted: commercial use or resale, entry into competitions, and re-editing that materially changes the look of the image (filters, restyling, colour changes) where it is associated with the Photographer's name. Commercial licences are available on request.

Copyright in all images remains with the Photographer.

• Client images are never published on this website, and never used in paid advertising.
• The Client may separately permit individual, specified images to be shown on the Photographer's own Instagram and Facebook pages. Permission is given after the session, in writing, for named images. A general permission given at the time of booking is not sufficient and will not be relied upon.
• The Client may separately permit selected images to appear in a printed catalogue presented to prospective clients in person and never put online. This permission is compensated with a 10 % discount.
• These permissions are independent of one another. None of them is a condition of the session, the delivery or the price, and refusing all of them changes nothing.
• Any permission may be withdrawn at any time in writing, without reason. On being told, the Photographer removes the image from her own social media accounts as soon as practicable, and from the catalogue at its next printing; copies already printed are taken out of use. Any discount already granted is not reclaimed.
• The Client should be aware that the Photographer cannot recall copies that third parties made while an image was publicly visible, and that uploading an image to Instagram or Facebook grants Meta Platforms a broad licence to use it under Meta's own terms. The Photographer draws attention to this before any social media permission is given.
• Images showing children are used only with the consent of every legal guardian, for each permission separately.
• No image is ever sold, licensed to a stock agency, or used to train an artificial intelligence system.

How enquiry data and images are handled is set out in full in the privacy policy further down this page, which forms part of these terms.

Both parties agree that emails, form submissions and messages count as writing, and that ticking the box on the enquiry form or confirming by email is a valid signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and the South Carolina Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.

A phone number given on the enquiry form is used only to reach the Client about their own booking — never for advertising, and never shared. Marketing emails are only sent to people who have asked for them, always carry an unsubscribe link, and stop immediately when asked.

The Photographer is liable for intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to the amount of the agreed fee. If technical failure, theft, data loss or illness leads to the total loss of the images, a replacement session is offered; where that is not possible, the fee paid is refunded. Any further claim for damages is excluded. There is no entitlement to a specific number of frames beyond the agreed package, nor to particular imagined shots.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Claims lie against SK Golden Moments Photography LLC and are satisfied from the assets of the company. As South Carolina law provides for limited liability companies, the members, managers and employees of the company are not personally liable for its obligations. This does not affect anyone's liability for their own wrongful act.

Limited-time offers apply only to bookings confirmed and secured with a retainer within the stated period. Offers and discounts cannot be combined unless expressly stated. Vouchers are valid for two years from the date of issue, are transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Please write first. Most things are settled in a single email. The Photographer aims to reply to any complaint within five business days and to resolve it within thirty.

If that does not work, both parties agree to attempt mediation in Dorchester or Charleston County before starting proceedings.

• The law of the State of South Carolina, USA applies. The courts of Dorchester County, South Carolina have jurisdiction.
• These terms, together with the written booking confirmation and the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between the Client and SK Golden Moments Photography LLC. Changes need to be in writing.
• The terms in force are those published on this website on the day the booking is confirmed. Later changes do not affect a booking already made.
• Should any provision be invalid, the remainder stay in force.
• Neither party may transfer the agreement to someone else without the other's written agreement.

This policy explains what happens to information about you when you visit this website or book a session. It applies to SK Golden Moments Photography LLC, a photography business based in Summerville, South Carolina, which is responsible for the information described here.

The short version: I collect the little I need to answer your enquiry and photograph your family. I do not sell it, I do not track you, and I delete it when it has done its job.

• What you type into the enquiry form — your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, preferred date, session location, package and message. I need this to answer you and to plan the session. Without a name and an email address I cannot reply.
• Your phone number is optional. It is used only to reach you about your own booking — a change of time, or a question on the day. It is never used for advertising and never passed on.
• Emails and messages you send me, so I can keep track of what we agreed.
• Your photographs, which are created at your session and delivered to you.
• Basic server records kept automatically by the company hosting this website — the page requested, the time, the browser type, and the IP address. These are standard security logs. I do not use them to build a profile of you and I do not combine them with anything else.

I do not collect payment details on this site, and I do not ask for any information about health, religion, politics or anything similar. If you volunteer something relevant to the session — an allergy, a child's routine — it is used for that session only.

Three kinds of company are involved in running this website. None of them is allowed to use your data for their own purposes.

• The web host, which stores the site's files and keeps the security logs described above.
• The form service, which passes the enquiry form on to my inbox. Your form entries travel through its servers on the way to me.
• My email provider, which holds our correspondence in the ordinary way.

Beyond that, nothing is shared. Your data is never sold, rented, traded, or given to advertisers, data brokers or artificial intelligence companies. The only other situation in which I would hand anything over is a valid legal order — and I would tell you first unless the law forbids it.

This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no Facebook or Instagram tracker, no heatmap, no session recording, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

The typefaces are stored on this website's own server rather than loaded from Google, so visiting this page does not tell Google anything about you. No videos, maps or social media widgets are embedded. Where a link to my Instagram or Facebook page appears, it is a plain link: it tells Meta nothing about you until you choose to click it.

Because nothing here tracks you, there is no cookie banner to click away and no "do not sell my data" choice to make — there is nothing to sell.

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: deleted within twelve months.
• Session photographs: kept for six months after delivery, then deleted, unless you have given catalogue permission.
• Booking correspondence and invoices: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, then deleted.
• Server security logs: kept briefly by the host, typically a few weeks.

Images live on password-protected devices with encrypted backups. Delivery links are private, unlisted and expire after 30 days. Access is limited to me.

No system is perfect, and I will not pretend otherwise. If personal information were ever exposed by a security breach, I would notify affected South Carolina residents as required by the South Carolina Breach Notification Act (S.C. Code Ann. § 39-1-90), and everyone else affected as promptly as I could.

Data is stored in the United States. If you write to me from Europe, your information will be handled in the United States.

This website is written for adults booking a session and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through this site.

Children obviously appear in the photographs I take. Those images are handled under the rules in the terms and conditions: they are delivered to the family, they never appear on this website, and they only appear on my Instagram or Facebook page or in my printed catalogue if every legal guardian has agreed to that specific image and has been told they can withdraw that agreement at any time.

At any time you may ask me to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. Write to sk.goldenmoments@gmail.com and I will answer within 30 days. There is no charge, and asking costs you nothing in how you are treated.

South Carolina does not currently give residents a general statutory right of access or deletion; I offer these rights anyway because they seem obviously right.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you additionally have the rights given to you by the GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to your national supervisory authority. I rely on your consent and on the performance of our contract as the basis for processing.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anyone with a booking in progress is told by email.

What that means here in practice: every part of the page can be reached with the keyboard alone and shows a visible focus outline; text contrast is checked against the AA thresholds; images carry descriptive alternative text; headings run in order; the page reflows to any screen width without horizontal scrolling; nothing flashes; and all animation stops for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.

SK Golden Moments Photography LLC is registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State and operates under the business licence and tax registrations required for a photography business in the Town of Summerville, Dorchester County and the State of South Carolina. Registration details are provided on request and on request of any authority.
